Payet avec Kouyate.
Payet has shot his load.

Three games now he's been no better than Noble.

But why the fuck did he play Moses instead of Obiang ???

You have to remember that all the players you mention are playing in better sides than Payet is, which makes it easier to find space, as they won't necessarily be singled out, because there are other players at their level in those teams.

Except for Oscar. Not only are they shit at the moment, but that cunt should not be mentioned in the same breath as those other players. Easily the most overrated player I've clapped eyes on.

Who the fuck has taken this seriously? Jesus. The knicker wetters are still in force.

So it was a 'wind up' thread. Strange thing to do

Re: Payet avec Kouyate.
Payet is a fantastic player that is struggling as he's being given more attention and respect by the opposition. I don't see it as hiding as such, just an inability to really create space for himself when the opposition are deliberately trying to negate his impact.

The very best #10s, like Oscar, De Bruyne, Özil, Silva, Eriksen etc are able to still find space and impact games positively for their teams. Honestly, this is probably why Payet is 28 before making his first really big move and only cost 11m whereas they've all moved at a young age and cost 2,3 or 4x that much.

Certainly no disrespect meant to Payet who has been excellent for us. Just maybe explains why he's finding things harder now.

Re: Payet avec Kouyate.
We need a hard cunt like Billy Bonds in the middle of the park to stop players from kicking Payet..

We also need Lanzini back to share the burden....we can't expect Payet to be our only means of creativity.

I love posters like Yarmouth. Someone who reckons they takes ages assessing a player, yet still can't spell their name right.

Yarmouth. Sorry mate but that's a load of old bollocks. Players can have bad games. There doesn't have to be a 90 paragraph dossier of excuses. It's just called having a bad game.

What I mean is not showing that you want the ball, not putting yourself in space etc etc. I remember when I played (only local league stuff) we had a couple of players who hid away, not showing for the ball etc if the conditions/opposition was a bit tough or alternatively if the opposition was one of the lower sides in our league and they weren't self motivated.

When Payett is on the ball he's very good indeed, so my point is why not get on the ball more often?

Could be that yesterday he was shackled by Billic into a certain role or he is being man marked more heavily and wasn't able to 'get on the ball' as often - I just don't think so.

I hope I'm wrong, he's a quality player when on the ball & in previous games he's made the difference - my ask is that he gets on the ball more often during every game.

What do you mean by 'hiding', Yarmouth?

Re: Payet avec Kouyate.
I dont think Payett has shot his load he has played so well for so far. Everyone is entitled to off games. Saying that the last three games he has been off whst normally expect. Hopefully he is saving himself for the mickeys on tuesday. A midweek cup replay under the lights is always a bit special IRONS

Re: Payet avec Kouyate.
He's a very good player but does tend to hide up a bit and he's hiding at the moment.

Maybe it's a motivational thing, late on Saturday afternoon in a rainstorm Southampton doesn't inspire you much but he's a professional all the same.

Sadly, he was poor against Villa last week too.

I think when Kouyate is missing we seem to struggle and revert to sideways possession rather than getting the ball forward quickly.

Perhaps yesterday was a victim of Kayoute being unavailable because in my view, we should play Payett up front with Sahko / Carroll / Valancia and have a midfield of Song, Noble and Kayoute.

Our squad is decent but no more than that, with Lanzini, Payett, Kayoute and Sahko - our key players - all available then we are a top six side - when one of them is missing we have to compromise and thats when we struggle against the Southampton etc of the league.

Our back four picks itself now even having 4 from 6 to choose from. Our midfield should be Noble, Song & Kayoute, the front 3 being Lanzini, Sahko and Payett.

Mind you, where do you then fit in Antonio who is a real grafter now with limited skill, when his skill level improves - which it is doing - then he's going to be be a very good player. Get Carroll fit and we have a great selection choice.

It's when we have an injury to 1 of the the 4 x key players we find it difficult.

Like most sides..

He's our best player....however I reckon we sing his song a bit too much and it may be putting too much pressure on him, however I don't blame us for getting carried away as it's been too long we've had to suffer without a star man.

Just to confirm, are there West Ham 'fans' on here posting gleefully that one of our players has had an off day? Should be an automatic ban for that.
